On February 16th, at the centralized isolation point of Hubei Material University in Hannan District, Wuhan, a pink "behemoth" began to operate, and only a portion of steaming claypot rice was delivered. This "monster" is a container claypot rice robot, donated by Guangdong enthusiastic company Country Garden to Wuhan. The "robot chef" will provide free 24-hour claypot rice catering services for local front-line medical staff, staff and quarantine personnel, so as to alleviate the problem of local catering supply.
Now, all kinds of new technologies and products are constantly being used in various fields of epidemic prevention and control. Catering robots can realize the whole process of cooking and taking meals without contact and pollution, providing a solution for the catering problems of centralized isolation points and designated hospitals. A solution.
Robot chef, go!
In Wuhan, some centralized isolation points are located in the suburbs, and supporting facilities are relatively lacking. In addition to the suspension of many catering companies, the food catering between medical staff and quarantined personnel has become a problem. The Hubei Provincial State-owned Assets College located in Hannan District, Wuhan City is the centralized isolation point. in this way. After learning about this difficulty from the Red Cross of Hannan District, Country Garden’s catering robot came in handy.
On the morning of February 12, receiving instructions to support Wuhan, Country Garden’s Qianxi Robot Catering Group immediately formed a commando team to start work overnight to disassemble and pack the container claypot rice robot originally parked in front of the Country Garden headquarters building.

The commando leader Wang Wei led the team for a day and night, and finally allocated all the necessary rice, oil, meat, vegetables and other ingredients in place on the 13th. "The ingredients brought from Foshan can make 7,000 claypot rice."
In the afternoon of the same day, the container-style claypot rice robot with a box volume of about 38 cubic meters was hoisted onto a truck and departed from Shunde, accompanied by 6 support team members. They will assemble and debug the robots in Wuhan. After the chef starts, they will also take on the important tasks of food procurement, catering, production and operation and maintenance.
Dai Shaoli, born in 1995, was one of the 6 supporting team members who accompanied him. He was a store manager of Country Garden Robot Restaurant. When he learned that the company plans to donate catering robots, he immediately called the project leader and applied to travel to Wuhan. I hope to use my own actions to cheer for Wuhan," Dai Shaoli said.
Steaming rice is here
The truck drove to Wuhan in a starry night, and the car went for 16 hours. The claypot rice robot successfully arrived near the centralized isolation point of Hubei State-owned Assets University on February 14. Dai Shaoli's first impression of Wuhan was "empty", "There are few pedestrians and vehicles on the road, and there is no sound in the whole city."
Time was tight and the task was heavy. Dai Shaoli and his teammates were too late to sigh. After a simple lunch, they immediately cooperated with the isolation point staff to install and debug the equipment. After two days of preparations, on February 16th, the robot chef officially "opened".
"Wow, this is amazing!" The claypot rice robot aroused the curiosity of many medical staff and staff in the isolation point. A nurse tried to scan the code to place an order, and the robotic arm was busy up and down. After a while, a claypot rice was pushed out from the mouth of the meal. After a while, a bowl of soup was delivered through the conveyor belt.

"Sometimes when we go out to eat, the meal is over, and the meal is cold. Now that you can eat hot rice and drink hot soup with your'rice cooker', we think it's really good," Said a medical worker.
According to reports, this containerized claypot rice robot can cook 36 claypots at the same time, which can be supplied 24 hours a day. The Guangdong claypot rice has a light taste. Taking into account the local eating habits in Wuhan, the support team also specially equipped with spicy sauce.

The help of the robot chef also enables the local isolation point to realize non-contact circular production and catering. Since the entire process from heating, refueling, adding water to serving, ordering and taking meals is fully automated, the robot chef can be isolated from people, reducing the risk of cross-infection caused by human contact.
In addition, the tableware and soup bowls of the claypot rice all use disposable packaging materials, and the support team will disinfect and clean the equipment regularly.
Busy makes them forget their tension
"There are 10 clay pot rice and 13 bowls of soup." After receiving a batch order, Dai Shaoli carried a box of freshly baked clay pot rice and regular soup to the door of the isolation building. At the time of delivery, he also explained to the staff who picked up which meals with hot sauce.
"In addition to the medical staff, our claypot rice is also provided to the security, cleaning and other staff of the isolation point, as well as people who are undergoing isolation medical observation here." Dai Shaoli introduced to reporters that it is impossible or inconvenient to leave isolation People in the building, after we have collected the order requirements, will be packaged and sent to the safe area at the door of the isolation point, and the staff will receive it.

After the robot chef started work, Dai Shaoli and the team members became very busy. “Now I start from the residence at 8 o’clock every morning, and I’ve been busy when I come here. I don’t have to finish work until the early morning at least every day.” Shaoli has forgotten the nervousness when he first came, "I was a little scared at the beginning, but now it is much better. The company has provided us with protective materials, and the six of us have also established a safety report and inspection mechanism."

At present, this claypot rice robot can make two flavors of bacon and sausage, and the matching vegetables rely on the support team members to purchase daily in local supermarkets, logistics, and farmers' markets. At present, affected by the local traffic control in Wuhan, the supply of fresh vegetables for claypot rice ingredients is somewhat insufficient, but Dai Shaoli said that he and his team will flexibly adjust and use local materials to make the dishes more balanced and more suitable for the tastes of Wuhan people.
The Southern + reporter also learned that combined with the experience of donating the first rice cooker robot, there will be more prefabricated catering robots starting from Guangdong in the future to support the centralized isolation point and the shelter hospital in Wuhan.
